Sampaje 66 kv..

Techno Economic Feasibility study: CHESCOM  and KPTCL Mysore TZ   conducted detailed study  of   system of Sampaje Hobli  fed from  Madikeri-66  station. Feeder at present caters power to 153 DTC,s of Hobli  ( Madikeri Rural-45 Tcs, Sampaje+Melchembu VP71 tcs ) .Export to 37 TCs- 1682 kva of SAMPAJE DK). 44.125 lakhs energy  sent out in Feeder. 116 kms + 24 kms of HT network. ATC loss of feeder is 30%. VR: 24%. 

Technical Approval:  Detailed project proposal  was approved in principle by TCCM meeting held in October 2021. Study reports sent by CESC corporate office to KPTCL for needful. Comprehensive DPR is being placed for arranging Central Government funding.

CESC corporate Action needed:      To arrange for installing 2500 kva Voltage Regulators ( 9.5kv/11kv) and 11 kv switching station (1+3 RMU)  under improvements to existing systems to assure quality power for 2022 irrigation season.

Sustainable Power Production : MNRE and MOP to be requested to extend the benefit of subsidy to Rooftop Solar PV panels for Residences, Schools, Colleges, Temples to take care of the peaking problems of the system and consider "SAMPAJE VALLEY- MADIKERI Taluk" for installation of Solar Community Project. 

Rural Employment & Skill development: With Skill Development Mission/ Atma Nirbhar Bharath / NEP and work from home, demand for energy in rural area has increased . All india national average of per capita consumption is 1208 as per the report published by CEA. Kodagu per capita consumption is 320 as on date. 

Vision  of CEA/ Ministry of Power  GOI: MOP has the vision of raising per capita consumption   to 600 and bring all the 72 rural feeders in conformity with CEA standards   of HT VR with in 9% and Energy loss with in the range of 10~15% in first phase. To utilise all the available south facing roof top areas and plan to instal Solar Community Projects to ease of Grid constraints & loss. At present the cost of generation, Transmission & distribution Electricity per unit is highest in India due to our National Grid dependant on Coal & other fossil fuels. 

District Planning for Power: Providing equitable power to all the house holds in rural KODAGU/ Karnataka is the Vision and Mission of Government of India. District Administration, Zilla) Taluk) Panchayaths) Forest  Department, National highway and Transmission Public  Utilities need to coordinate to arrange the primary  infrastructure.
