Effective monitoring of RDSS works is felt necessary to assess the energy savings by installing additional transformers and extension of HV lines in rural areas. Large number of failure of DTrs is noticed.Metering and load break linked switches on secondary side of Transformers need to be enforced by CEA and project monitoring authorities.
